East Coast email
Received this forward from Tyler and Jim at Corduroy Surf Boutique in Portland, Maine. They sold this 5’7″ HPH speedster for me last week. Always a treat to get positive feedback. Of course the East Coast has been going off so they’re all smiling.
Dear Tyler and team-
My brother Kevin, who picked up the mini-simmons from you last week, is still at the coast . . . and absolutely loving the MS. I got a couple days in with him, and it was amazing to watch the board’s versatility! Sometimes he was paddling in and meandering lines like a longboarder, other times tucking right into steep ones with speed! I might take the next one you get in… I have to admit– I was skeptical– a bizarre looking board– that appears to be pretty incredible. Kevin is grinning.

Back In the Saddle Again
Back up on the hill. Enjoying what is apparently the last days of the Channin era. Looks like Bing is taking the helm soon. It’s been a real pleasure and honor.
New Friends
Dropped off a couple boards with my new friends Tyler and Jim at Corduroy in Portland, Maine. What a cool place. Definitely check them out if you’re in the area or hit corduroy-Portland, Maine
Mountain high!
On our way to the coast. Stopped at the beautiful Inn at Crotched Mountain in New Hampshire. What a stunningly gorgeous state! Bringing a 5’8″HPH and a 6’10” hillbilly hull to shop around New Hampshire and Maine. Next stop Hampton Beach.
Sticky goodness!
My first honey harvest. This being my girl’s first year, I didn’t want to be greedy. The first nectar flow came and went. Then the second. You may be able to see the very light honey from the first, and the very dark from the second. I took two frames from each hive assuming they’ll need to keep most of it for the end of summer. Already gave away three jars and still have these left. Also got a nice chunk of wax in the bargain. I’m trying to take only true excess in order to let the bees have their own food for the winter. In the spring I’ll see what’s left, harvest that and start over.
