I’m leavin’ on a jet plane…

Can’t wait to get to SD for my next trip. Three glorious weeks of shaping, tattooing and visiting. It goes without saying that I plan on getting in the water every single chance I get. I’m assuming the weather will turn perfect as soon as I arrive. I look forward to seeing you all.
Avalon is booked and I am shaping every other day to fill orders and build up my stock again. I’ve got a couple HPH’s at the factory waiting for pick up, going to Surfindian in PB. Thanks to everyone who has purchased one of my boards. I really appreciate the support. Hope you enjoy them thoroughly.
Looks like I’ll be doing a show at Corduroy in Portland Maine in the spring. We’re ironing out details now. I look forward to some East coast water time. I’ve had only a small taste and it left me hungry for more. Thanks to Tyler and James for the continued association.

2 08 2010My new friend AJ. We started drawing at noon, started tattling at roughly four, and finished about 7:30. Long day but I’m pretty stoked on the results.

“old man”
3 07 2010So last week I get a carving board from Original Skateboards. The thing is so different from any skateboard I’ve ever had, starting with clay wheels in the early 70′s, that I hesitate to even call it a skateboard. Turns like no other. I’ve been skating around the neighborhood, getting the feel of it. It feels good to be skating around just for the fun of it again.
Anyway, I’ve gotten two memorable compliments.
“You are the coolest old man I’ve ever seen!” yelled from a window of a passing car by a cute girl.
My first thought was “right on!” then,……. OLD MAN?
A couple days later… “I’ve never seen an old man, on a skateboard, with that many tattoos… cool…. right on… you’re a legend!” yelled by a young man as I skated past on the Newport flood wall. Once again, cool, then,….. OLD MAN?
Well I’m just not sure what to think,… but I’m still gonna go skate today.
